Karl nearly ran into a woman as he walked through the door of the restaurant. "Sorry," they apologized in unison. He glanced up at her as he held the door open. She looked familiar. He searched his memory to try to remember who she was. Anita's friend! But what was her name?

"Olivia!"

She turned. "Yes?" She got a good look at him as she approached. "Karl?"

"I'm glad I got the right name," Karl chuckled.

"And the right Olivia..." Karl nodded. "What are you doing in town?"

"I'm doing some ADR for a film and I'm in talks for another." There was an awkward pause. "Listen, um..."

"Anita?"

"Yeah. I was wondering if you had her number. I'm in town for about a week still and I wanted to give her a call and see if she wanted to get a drink."

Olivia thought about it for a minute. Even though Anita was a wreck every time she and Karl said goodbye, Olivia thought the two were good for each other. She smiled to herself and pulled out one of her business cards and a pen. "She's been dating lately, so don't expect much."

"I really do want a drink and to talk, that's all." Olivia nodded at him.

As she handed the number to Karl she added, "If you tell her that I'm the one that gave you this, I will hunt you down."

He looked at the number then back up at Olivia. "Thanks."

Olivia looked back at the people she was with. "Well, I have to get going. It was really nice seeing you again."

"You too." They embraced and Olivia turned and hurried back to her group. Karl looked at the number again and pocketed the card before heading into the restaurant.
